Summary of Job Duties:

The Student Human Resources Support Assistant works in the University of Arkansas Central Human Resources offices and supports the RazorTemp program while assisting multiple areas of Human Resources. This role helps create a welcoming and professional experience for employees, students, and campus partners and serves as a first point of contact for Human Resources. The position supports various HR functions, including Employee Services, Talent Acquisition, Recruiting, Benefits, Classification and Compensation, and front desk operations.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Serve as the front desk point of contact by greeting visitors, answering phones, responding to general HR inquiries, and directing individuals to appropriate HR teams Provide administrative and clerical support across all areas of Human Resources, including Employee Services, Talent Acquisition, Recruiting, Benefits, and Classification and Compensation
- Contact departments across campus to confirm the status of job requisitions and update records in Workday Assist with communication and posting of job opportunities, including posting positions through internal systems and the Handshake student employment platform
- Process HR transactions, reporting, and data entry in Workday related to RazorTemp and other HR functions Manage the HR email inbox and respond to inquiries in a timely and professional manner Review, scan, index, and file HR documents in accordance with departmental procedures
- Support Talent Acquisition and Recruiting projects, including special initiatives and branding efforts Assist with general project work and other duties as assigned to support Central Human Resources operations

Regular, reliable, and non‑disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.


Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent

  • Currently enrolled as a student at the University of Arkansas

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Interest in Human Resources, recruiting, or administrative operations

  • Previous customer service or office experience

  • Experience using Workday or other HR or administrative systems

  • Familiarity with the Handshake student employment platform

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Good organizational and time management skills

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with professional telephone etiquette

  • Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of employees, students, and campus partners

  • Ability to learn and apply basic human resources policies and procedures

  • Ability to perform data entry and assist with simple reporting tasks

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to work in a technology‑based environment

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion


Additional Information:

This position requires a commitment to 20 Hours per week between 8am - 5pm. Schedules are flexible and will vary based on the student’s academic schedule while meeting departmental coverage needs.


Salary Information:

$15.00 per hour
