Summary of Job Duties:

The Leadership Coach supports aspiring school leaders participating in the IMPACT Arkansas Principal Fellows Program by providing individualized coaching designed to develop their leadership knowledge, skills, dispositions, and readiness to serve as transformative leaders for high-needs Arkansas schools. The Leadership Coach is responsible for overseeing multifaceted initiatives that contribute to the growth and success of current IMPACT Arkansas fellows and alumni of the program. Specific responsibilities include conducting biweekly coaching calls with IMPACT fellows, providing additional in-person coaching at least three times per academic year, offering ongoing feedback and reflection, planning and facilitating professional development sessions, monitoring progress toward program competencies, and collaborating with the IMPACT team and Educational Leadership faculty to maintain highly effective program content. Additional responsibilities may also include engagement in the alumni and ambassador meetings/functions, participation in the admissions process, monitoring of the alumni-mentoring activity logs, and attendance at the Arkansas Public Schools Resources Center’s training sessions as needed.

The IMPACT Arkansas Principal Fellows Program is an innovative educational leadership preparation program offered by the University of Arkansas College of Education and Health Professions. Information about IMPACT can be found https://impactfellowship.uark.edu.

This position is remote from the University of Arkansas Fayetteville campus; however, the Leadership Coach is expected to engage in periodic in-person coaching and program activities, such as the Summer Symposium. The person must reside in the State of Arkansas or be willing to relocate to the State of Arkansas to carry out the duties of this position. No relocation funds are available for this position.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job function of this job, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.


Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in education, leadership, or related field from an accredited institution of higher education

  • At least three years of leadership experience in high needs K-12 educational settings

  • At least two years of coaching or mentoring experience, preferably in high needs educational settings

  • Experience providing effective and supportive training to adults in professional development contexts

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master of Educational Leadership degree or higher from an accredited institution of higher education

  • At least three to five years of experience as a school leader in a high needs K-12 educational setting

  • Experience developing and facilitating professional training experiences for adult learners

  • Holds educator license in the State of Arkansas

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

  • Proficiency in utilizing technology for communication and collaboration

  • Adaptability to evolving educational methodologies and commitment to staying informed about best practices

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently

  • Collaborative and collegial approach to working with others


Additional Information:

This position is renewable annually based on continued need for the position, availability of funding, and satisfactory job performance.


Salary Information:

$75,092 (Commensurate with education and experience)
