Minimum Qualifications:
Must be enrolled full- or part-time at the University of Arkansas, degree-seeking undergraduate sophomore, junior, or senior
Maintain 2.5 cumulative GPA or above
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience mentoring students
Experience using social media to promote events
Personal experience as a first-generation college student
Experience working independently and in groups
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities (KSAs):
Knowledge of university policies and procedures relevant to student conduct and academic integrity
Knowledge of campus resources and support services
Knowledge of the first-generation student experience
Knowledge of effective mentoring practices
Knowledge of time management and goal-setting strategies
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to build rapport with students while maintaining appropriate boundaries and confidentiality

Hours and Schedule:
The position is designed to be a 4-hour per week in-person/virtual (hybrid) commitment.
Weekly hours worked depend on meetings and event schedule.
Employment Timeline:
Anticipated start date September 1, 2025. This position is active for one (1) academic year and is renewable with required reapplication based on continued need for the position, availability of funding, and satisfactory job performance.
