Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution of higher education
At least five years of nursing experience in an ambulatory setting
Applicable equivalencies may be considered for the above qualifications.
At least four years of nursing supervisory experience
Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Arkansas State Board of Nursing
Current BLS Certification
OR
Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution of higher education
At least seven years of nursing experience in an ambulatory setting
Applicable equivalencies may be considered for the above qualifications.
At least five years of nursing supervisory experience
Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Arkansas State Board of Nursing
Current BLS Certification
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters of Science in Nursing from an accredited institution of higher education
Certification in Telephone Triage
At least ten years of nursing experience, including experience in ambulatory care
Public health experience
Must possess a wide range of nursing skills with a focus on patient assessment and a variety of nursing experiences that includes women's health, outpatient clinic experience, and nurse triage in an emergency room or acute care setting
Preference will be given to candidates with previous college health experience
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities (KSAs):
Knowledge and understanding of patient flow in a clinical setting
Knowledge of special considerations of a college population
Knowledge of routine and travel-related adult immunizations
Knowledge of allergy desensitization
Knowledge of women's health
Knowledge of common orthopedic injuries and application of removable orthopedic devices and crutch walking instructions
Knowledge of infection control practices in ambulatory healthcare
Excellent physical assessment skills
Proficient IV skills
Electronic medical record documentation skills
Ability to assist medical providers with minor surgical procedures, laceration repair, and insertion of long-acting reversible contraceptives
Ability to work with diverse patient populations
Ability to prioritize and identify urgent/emergent situations
