Summary of Job Duties:

The Director of Digital & Creative Services will lead and manage the entire Arkansas Creative department. The Creative department manages all aspects of the Arkansas Razorbacks Athletics brand, including photography, videography, graphic design, digital, and social media. The team executes creative strategies to drive engagement across sports programs, fan groups and partnerships. This position will also serve as the lead creative for the Arkansas Razorbacks’ nationally ranked men’s basketball program. As the lead creative for men’s basketball, the Director will manage all social media channels (existing and future) while working with the coaching staff to create unique content (photo, video, graphics, etc.) to showcase the program to fans and recruits. This position will manage the day-to-day digital strategy activities for the department and provide oversight to all social media contributors and accounts. The selected candidate will lead a team of content creators that, collectively, are responsible for the content and social media needs for all 19 sports teams including related support of recruiting efforts.

Responsible for setting the creative visual direction for the athletic department, establishing strategies for managing the online presence of social media networks such as X, Instagram, Facebook and other emerging platforms, while establishing measurable goals and objectives. In addition to the social media platforms, the Director will assist direction of the strategy and implement plans for growing the department’s owned media platforms, including the official Razorbacks app and ArkansasRazorbacks.com .

Work directly with the Senior Associate AD – Marketing & Business Development on identifying digital initiatives and activations that will aid in the department’s revenue generating efforts.

Work with Learfield (multimedia rights holder) to identify sponsorship sales opportunities on our social media and owned media platforms.

Regular, reliable and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.


Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, sports management, journalism, communications or related field

  • Minimum of three years working experience in the sports digital media space

  • Experience directly running social media accounts for collegiate athletics or professional sports organization

  • Experience setting goals, strategy and direction for a social media account

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree with emphasis in marketing, sports management, journalism, communications or related field

  • At least five years of experience working in the digital and social media sector

  • Experience working with men’s basketball or football staff at the collegiate or professional level

  • Experience working with multimedia rights holder(s) and creating sponsored content for various social mediums

  • Experience managing and leading a team of creatives for at least one year

  • Experience working in collegiate athletics at the Power 4 or professional sports level
