Summary of Job Duties:

The Creative and Visual Media Manager serves as the lead visual content producer for the College of Engineering. This position is responsible for establishing and stewarding the college's visual identity, directing the full spectrum of photo and video production, and overseeing graphic design output across all platforms and publications. The Creative and Visual Media Manager works closely with the Director and Associate Director of Marketing and Communications on ways to best produce visual media that represents the college's mission, values, and strategic priorities.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.


Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, graphic design, film/video production, fine arts, or a closely related field from an accredited institution of higher education

  • At least five to seven years of progressive professional experience in creative or visual media

  • Experience managing photo and video production from concept through delivery

  • Experience managing brand identity systems and enforcing design standards in a complex organization

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in higher education, research communications, or STEM-focused environments

  • Experience with motion graphics or animation

  • Experience with print production processes and vendor management

Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs):

  • Knowledge of how visual identity builds trust, recognition, and reputational value

  • Proficiency in design, photography, and video production tools, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Premiere Pro

  • Ability to connect creative output to broader communication goals and audience engagement

  • Ability to maintain high standards of quality and consistency across all deliverables

  • Ability to translate institutional priorities into compelling, original visual storytelling
