Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education
At least two years of full-time experience in development, sales, fundraising, or closely related work
Experience and proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with volunteers and advisory boards
Experience in building donor/alumni relationships with stakeholders and individuals
Experience with UAConnect, Workday, AcademicWorks and Blackbaud Finance
Familiarity and experience with state and university procurement policies and procedures
Experience interpreting and tracking grants, programs, and scholarship budgets
Experience writing for varied audiences, including donors, alumni, and grantmakers
Graduate of the University of Arkansas – Fayetteville
Proven experience managing data and drafting executive correspondence and communications
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities (KSAs):
Demonstrated energy and passion for major gift fundraising, the School, and the University
Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skill
Strong organizational abilities and proven skill in building relationships with varied stakeholders, including alumni, donors, volunteers, faculty, administration, and other external stakeholders
Ability to follow-up effectively with prospects and donors
Ability to set and achieve goals and while working both independently and collaboratively
Ability to perform well under the pressure of deadlines and fundraising goals
Capacity to collaborate with development leadership and directors to create high-level cultivation plans that meet ambitious fundraising goals
Successfully track, manage, and prioritize donor cultivation and solicitation strategies
Experience in strategizing, writing, and editing grant proposals and reports
Developing and executing consistent communication with colleagues (e.g. activity reports, monthly check-in agendas, etc.)
Ability to work collegially with the Division of University of Arkansas Advancement and across university units
Ability to travel and work irregular hours as needed
Ability to represent the school and university in a highly professional manner
