Summary of Job Duties:

The Analytics Solutions Engineer supports the design, development, and maintenance of the University’s enterprise data lakehouse and data warehouse environment. This role builds, manages, and optimizes data pipelines to ingest, transform, and store data from diverse institutional systems, ensuring that institutional and student data are accurate, accessible, and secure. The Analytics Solutions Engineer plays a critical role in enabling analytics, reporting, and compliance initiatives across the University by maintaining reliable data infrastructure and promoting best practices for data quality, governance, and performance.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Key Responsibilities

· Assist in developing and maintaining data ingestion pipelines using enterprise level data tools.

· Perform basic data transformations and ensure data quality and integrity.

· Collaborate with senior and lead engineers/analysts to integrate data from multiple sources into the lakehouse/warehouse.

· Monitor pipeline performance and troubleshoot issues.

· Document processes and maintain metadata for data assets.

· Support compliance with data governance and security standards.


Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field

  • Proficiency in SQL and working knowledge of scripting languages such as Python

  • Familiarity with ETL concepts

  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure/Fabric, AWS, and/or GCP

  • Strong attention to detail and an understanding of best practices in maintaining data quality

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with student information systems such as Workday Student

  • Understanding of higher education reporting and compliance

  • Familiarity with cloud development best practices

  • Agile development experience

Salary Information:

$56,123 - $70,000
