Summary of Job Duties:

The Administrative Support Supervisor is the assistant to both the Department Chair and the Director of the Tyson Center for Faith-Friendly Workplaces (TCFFW) in the Strategy Entrepreneurship, Venture & Innovation Department (SEVI). This position is responsible for managing the Department Chair’s and Center Director’s calendar and travel, as well as assisting with reports, performance reviews, departmental/center budgets, and correspondence. Additionally, this position supervises the other office staff to ensure that the SEVI faculty, Ph.D. students, and students majoring in a SEVI degree receive the administrative assistance they need.

Regular, reliable and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.


Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

  • The formal education of a high school diploma; plus one year of specialized training in business management, business education, or a related field

  • Administrative support experience


Preferred Qualifications

  • An associate’s degree OR at least two years of course work toward a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education.

  • Higher education work experience

  • Office management experience

  • Experience working with faculty and students

  • Experience with the University of Arkansas systems including Workday, Business Objects (Info View), and R25


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong Word and Excel knowledge

  • Strong oral and written communications skills

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task


Additional Information:


Salary Information:

$39,930-$43,923, commensurate with education and experience.
