The Academic Affairs Operations Coordinator provides comprehensive administrative, operational, and programmatic support to the Office of the Provost. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of internal operations, and coordination of academic functions.

The incumbent works collaboratively to coordinate administrative processes, assist with academic policy updates, maintain records, committee communications, and support various academic affairs programs and reporting functions. The position also acts as a liaison with campus stakeholders and provides backup support to executive office staff as needed.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others. This position is not eligible for remote work. This position is housed in the Office of the Provost in the Administration Building.


Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education

Applicable equivalencies may be considered for the above qualifications.

  • At least two years of progressively responsible administrative experience, preferably in an academic, higher education, or complex organizational environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a higher education environment, including supporting the operations of a fast-paced, complex academic unit at a higher education institution

  • Experience with event planning

  • Experience working with webpage maintenance

  • Experience working with Workday

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and comfort learning new systems

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently as well as part of a team

  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion

  • Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures accurately

Salary Information:

$51,020.96 - $57,399 (Commensurate with education and experience)
