Position Overview
We are a top industrial robotics and automation manufacturer looking to add an experienced Control Systems Engineer to our team. The Controls Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing control systems for industrial equipment and robotics systems. This role requires strong technical expertise in HMI, PLC, Allen Bradley, and CAD. The ideal candidate will have a passion for problem-solving, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work well both independently and within a team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement control systems for new and existing industrial equipment and processes.
- Utilize HMI and PLC programming skills to create user-friendly interfaces and automate processes.
- Create and maintain detailed electrical schematics and other relevant technical documentation using CAD software.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and troubleshoot control system issues.
- Perform testing and commissioning of control systems to ensure proper functionality.
- Maintain and update existing control systems as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and implement new technologies and techniques to improve control systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in control system design and development.
- Strong proficiency in Allen Bradley, RS Logix and AutoCAD software.
- Experience with industrial automation and control systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- PLC and HMI experience required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
