In July 2005, Andy McClarrinon, P.E. and David Berry, P.E. formed GTS, Inc. The vast majority of our Engineering staff are University of Arkansas Alumni with regional experience in Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Materials Testing, and Environmental Services. From our inception, GTS, Inc. has grown from a headcount of 2 to over 80 employees. We believe this growth is attributed to GTS, Inc. combining the hands-on and personal approach provided by smaller firms with the professionalism expected of larger firms.
GTS, Inc. is headquartered in Fayetteville, Arkansas. We are excited to announce the expansion of our campus with the completed construction of a new 11,000 square foot office building off North Shiloh Drive in Fayetteville. Additionally, we have expanded our drilling fleet with the purchase of 2 new drill rigs at our Fayetteville office. With expansion of our facilities and upgrades to our equipment, we are able to continue to grow and better serve our local clients.
Job Description:
GTS, Inc., Arkansas' premier Geotechnical Engineering provider, is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Geotechnical Drilling Manager/Tool Pusher to oversee and manage our geotechnical drilling operations out of our Fayetteville, Arkansas office. The ideal candidate will have a background in geotechnical drilling techniques and/or construction experience, and project management. This role involves supervising drilling projects, ensuring safety and quality standards, and collaborating with clients, engineers, and field personnel to deliver successful geotechnical investigations.
Responsibilities:
- Project Management:
- Oversee and manage geotechnical drilling projects from planning to completion.
- Develop project schedules, allocate resources, and manage project budgets.
- Coordinate with clients, engineers, and field personnel to ensure project requirements and objectives are met.
- Technical Oversight:
- Supervise drilling operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Evaluate and select appropriate drilling methods and equipment for each project.
- Provide technical guidance and support to drilling crews and geotechnical engineers.
- Field Operations:
- Conduct site assessments and determine optimal drilling locations.
- Monitor drilling activities, soil sampling, and in-situ testing to ensure accuracy and reliability of data.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during drilling operations.
- Quality Control:
- Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure the integrity of geotechnical data.
- Safety Management:
- Ensure all drilling operations adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct safety meetings and training sessions for drilling crews.
- Perform regular safety audits and inspections of drilling sites.
- Client Relations:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by providing exceptional service and communication.
- Address client inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Present project findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
