This Role
The Rogers Lowell Chamber is seeking a dynamic and skilled Marketing and Communications professional to develop and execute strategic brand messaging that promotes the Chamber’s events, programs, and initiatives to both the public and our membership. This role will ensure that members and key audiences stay informed while driving engagement across multiple communication channels. Key responsibilities include producing Chamber publications such as the Chamber Voice newsletter, weekly eNews email blasts, and The Good Life Destination Guide; directing advertising campaigns and media relations; managing content marketing strategies for web and social media; and overseeing in-house creative services to support the Chamber’s various divisions.
In partnership with Destination Rogers, a key division of the Rogers Lowell Chamber, this position will also focus on promoting Rogers as a premier destination for outside groups, events, and visitors. This includes managing and executing social media posts, website content, newsletters, and creating compelling articles to enhance visibility and drive interest.
The ideal candidate will be a proactive project manager, adept at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. They will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with brand strategy, and meeting deadlines and budget requirements. Strong organizational skills, creativity, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, stakeholders, and external partners are essential. A proven track record in content creation, digital marketing, performance analytics, and marketing tools is highly desired.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain regular contact and good relationships with members.
- Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines to ensure our internal and external customer needs are met.
- Develop and supervise annual budgets as assigned to support marketing programs and activities.
- Develop, coordinate, and publish a monthly newsletter, bi-weekly eNewsletters, and press releases/blog as needed.
- Develop and execute the Chamber’s Marketing Plan and Advertising Media Plan (trade/cash).
- Direct website content management to ensure up-to-date content and information.
- Manage media relations and outreach.
- Manage sales of advertising for the Chamber’s publications, website, and video/SEO third-party programs.
- Direct the production of "The Good Life," the annual tourism/relocation guide, and manage the P&L.
- Direct social media and content marketing strategy for the Chamber’s channels including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Member and Chamber News, the Chamber Voice, and other Chamber divisions.
- Prepare publicity, marketing, and sales collateral materials for Chamber projects, programs, and events.
- Prepare the Annual Report of the Chamber and other reports as necessary
- Assist in long-range planning and development of annual Program of Work (POW) and Business Plan.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- 5-10 years of related experience and/or training in communications, marketing, and project management.
- Experience leading and managing a team of 2-3 employees is essential.
- Strong project management skills or has completed a project management training/course.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are necessary.
- Solid administrative, organization and strategic thinking skills are required.
- Ability to work independently and in a group setting, take initiative, and be an effective team leader.
- Ability to multi-task, be action-oriented, and meet deadlines are required.
- Demonstrated and proven skills in advertising, marketing, and communications including web development and social media.
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of members or employees of organizations.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Proficiency in member management software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite
