At CESO, a Senior Designer is responsible for developing designs for complete architectural building projects including coordination of complex civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering systems. You will also have the role of training Designers and Lead Designers. You will have primary responsibilities that include:
Primary Responsibilities
- Draw detailed scale plans for structures, installations and construction projects based on preliminary concepts, sketches, design guidelines set forth by municipalities and governing agencies and data provided an Architect, Job Captain, Project Manager, etc.
- Independently design and prepare 2D and 3D detailed construction drawings and designs using computer aided design (CAD) or building information modeling (BIM) software
- Use independent judgement to create complete architectural construction drawings by using CAD and Revit software
- Interpret and apply company and AHJ standards on all design and layouts
- Design schematic concepts in conjunction with client programs
- Correlate, interpret, and modify data obtained from subconsultant drawings and reports
- Convert and digitize electronic files into useable CAD files
- Prepare all drawings in compliance with company drawing and CAD standards
- Research design options and code issues
- Provide high level of customer service to clients and attend client meetings
- Perform redline mark ups as directed by architectural leadership
- Review civil and SMEP plans to assure coordination with architectural design plans
- Highlight completed redlines, print check drawings and review prior to returning complete work
- Observe construction activities
- Delegate and coordinate work with designers and lead designers
- Motivate team members through the creation of a positive work environment by providing mentoring, coaching, and training to assist in professional development
- Perform other project and supervisory duties as assigned
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Interior Design with 10+ years’ experience; or in lieu of a degree, 15+ years of related experience and/or training
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, 3D Rendering Software, Photo Editing Software, Newforma and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to travel
